... with a sweater.
This sweater. This beauty recently graced our screens in the BBC adaptation of Winifred Holtby's "South Riding", and as I brought the DVD of this away with me today I had to opportunity to rekindle my love of the fabulous costumes in this show. In particular said sweater. Which I now have a rather unhealthy obsession with. But, I mean, just LOOK at it...

If I could recreate this sweater I think I would be the happiest person that ever lived. Quite possibly. Of course I'm trying to be organised with the projects that I'm taking on at the minute, not just making things because I like the look of them, but making things that I actually need. But surely there's room in my wardrobe for something as pretty as this:

I've yet to take a look at the knitting section of my "Make-Not-Buy Challenge" but this sweater is going on the definite maybe list until further notice! And just in case I do decided that I can't live without it I thought I might as well try and find a suitable pattern. Just in case... :)

What do you think of these options? At the moment I think that the Jumper in Feather Stitch may be my favourite, but I'd love to hear your thoughts! I may yet find a pattern that is closer to the original, I'm going to keep looking. If you know of or come across anything similar do let me know :)
Bye for now, and a Happy Weekend to you all!
