Messing About In Boats

My Sweetheart originally hails from lovely Oxford Town so I am lucky enough to be able to have a place to stay there whenever we want to visit. Well, yesterday we decided it was a perfect day for a little trip, so we moseyed on down to Oxfordia for a mini adventure. We ended up spending a perfect day rowing up and down the River Isis (what you call the Thames when it flows through Oxford, you learn something new everyday!) and messing about in boats, Wind in the Willows style :) Well, my Sweetheart did most of the rowing, although I did give it go, rather unsuccessfully I might add! Here are some snapshots of the day, hope you like them!

And now follows photographic evidence of my (lack of) rowing skills. Luckily my Sweetheart is an expert, or we might have been stuck on the river for hours!

Ok, it's not as difficult as it looks...

...Oh dear, I seem to be aiming unintentionally for the bank...

...*Le Sigh* I think my dreams of Olympic rowing stardom are shattered!

I hope you're all having a fabulous weekend :)
